about

This sound bath is played in the key of F, known to open the 4th (heart) chakra ("subtle body" energy point), the seat of compassion. It includes electric guitars, acoustic piano, Tibetan singing bowls, tambura, and voice. The guitars and piano have been switched from standard A440 tuning to A444 tuning, which directly lines up to 528 Hz, the “healing” ancient Solfeggio frequency (bit.ly/1VLLGGm). The calming sound of the ocean as well as a 7.5 Hz pure theta brainwave run throughout the track, as this frequency of the wave helps to clear away confusion and put the mind at ease. It also assists with sharpening awareness of both self and purpose. The heartbeat you'll hear is at a normal resting rate of 60 bpm. All instruments were also played at 60 bpm. You will hear mention of the color green, the heart chakra color of love and transformation. "Yam" is the Bija (seed) mantra—one=syllable sound—long ago assigned to the heart chakra.

PRO TIP: It's best to listen to this through headphones. Block out at least half an hour in a quiet space where you'll be free from disturbance. Make yourself comfortable, using pillows, if possible. You may do this either seated or lying down. Your choice.
